Bébé Voyage

I am the Social Justice and Sustainability Editor for Bébé Voyage—a community of travel-loving families. Through this position, I oversee editorial content and contribute to the Conscious Travel column; write, edit, and develop content around social justice and sustainability travel and related projects; and provide strategic direction for Bébé Voyage anti-racism commitment (which I was instrumental in drafting).

• Worked with the SCA’s Events team to conduct site assessments for 15 event sites around the world (e.g., Kenya, Indonesia, Colombia, South Korea, Taiwan) and refined bidder proposal protocol and assessment tools. The work conducted and recommendations provided resulted in SCA’s Ad Hoc Committees for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion publication of the SCA Events Site Criteria white paper.

Travel Guides

While I lived in Baltimore, I became a Local Expert for Baltimore for the online experiential travel guide, Afar.com. In this role, I wrote and curated guides focused on Baltimore City while also creating highlights about the places I have traveled.

Volunteering and Service-Learning

Blogs

The Widest Smile: A parenting blog focused on learning about and raising a baby with cleft lip. When I was about 20 weeks pregnant, my husband and I found out that our son had a cleft lip. This news set us off on a journey we never expected to be a part of. The blog is a reflection on that experience as well as a source for regular updates for friends, family, and anyone who’s interested in learning about the journey.
